Facing the South

This photo which was taken by me at Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India. For this shoot, I woke up early in the morning at about 5 and skidded downthe road. The road would descend down to the beach which stank of fish. The beach was basically covered with jagged rocks and widespread nets. It was amazing to see the early fishermen out with their boats to start their morning routine. Against the pale twilight zone, you could small light hazes which were the well equiped lanterns installed on each boat. On my right, metres away was the enormous lighthouse. On this summer morning, a huge group of tourists including my sweet-self gathered to raise our cameras at the rising sun and share our delight with the usual exclamation of the oohs!! and aahs!! The occasional sea-breeze with its pungent smell of fish helped to awaken the remaining dozers. After the sun fully rose, I walked back to the hotel.

RECOMENDATION: Its a real place to travel to with nice photographic opportunity. The three seas meet here in this enticing spot --- the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean. A must see place.
